He is reunited with long term cohort – Zimbabwe-born, South Africa based KMANE (Focalistic, Sha Sha, Kelvin Momo, Gemma Griffiths), whose creative vision and expertise behind the camera are on full display.
Featuring breathtaking scenery and cinematography, he brings the amapiano inspired slice of afro – dancehall to life in a whole new dimension.
In the two weeks since its release, the DJ Tamuka produced ‘Makanonoka’ has dominated Zimbabwean airwaves.
It stormed its way to claim the number 1 spot on Star FM’s Hit List and is on high rotation there as well as on Zifm and Power FM. In addition to this, Makanonoka’, is enjoying significant traction internationally, following support from such influential tastemakers like Eddie Kadi on BBC Radio 1Xtra, DJ/ Producer and Kiss FM presenter – Juls, DJ Neptizzle on Rinse FM and Gracey Mae on flagship afrobeats show – Afronation.
In addition, Nutty O joined a stellar cast list of Zim creative talent hosted by Status100 and Kivo Santana for ‘Zim Link Up’.
A show in Hanover Germany kickstarted the movement followed by an unprecedented completely sold out show at Birmingham Forum in the UK.
Nutty O’s unique blend of dancehall / afro-pop has already earned him a loyal following.
