The thrill of being creative can be overwhelming.
The rush of having a new idea.
That moment when a concept first pops into your mind, seemingly out of thin air.
The best part? It’s unlike anything you have thought of before.
You see your ideas take shape, forming a being of their own. From an abstract notion into concrete reality.
Each step of progress giving momentum into the next, building excitement for the finished product. Now imagine being creative for the first time.
This is what most muggles (non creatives) are going through in this Artificial Intelligence (AI) creativity wave.
Traditionally, the bar for creativity had been too high for the ordinary folk but with AI the bar is now in hell.
Any fool can now type a prompt into mid journey and compress weeks, months or even years of creativity into a few minutes.
Any fool can now create a cover song using a popular artist’s voice.
Imagine (if you can) the Vision and Imagination needed to create the Monalisa.
The observation, the skill, technique and the precision needed to create this masterpiece.
Now think (you can’t imagine this) about the few lines of “prompts” you need to write in MidJourney to create something similar. Cringe.
I have nothing against muggles, in fact I love the fact that they are now getting to enjoy the thrills of creativity and visual creativity for the first time.
Your overweight uncle showing you the cool image he has generated in MidJourney. You just have to love it.
There’s nothing wrong with enjoying creativity and the perks that come with it. It’s a privilege everyone deserves to experience.
“With great privilege comes great responsibility.”
This doesn’t seem to be the case however.
You have Tech bros hyping up NFTs and crashing the market causing multitudes of innocent muggles to lose all their investments.
Who else will forget Logan Paul’s million dollar NFT that’s now worth just $10.
Even though LP is a scammer himself, it’s hard to not feel sorry for the crypto bro.
I’ll end here with “No one is going to replace creatives.”
