Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, Atana has gained recognition for its workplace training content, particularly in the areas of diversity and inclusion, sexual harassment, bias, and workplace violence.
The company has unveiled a new product called Atana Insights, which combines its training solutions with AI-driven behavioral insights and analytics to facilitate attitudinal and behavioral transformations on these critical topics.
CEO John Hansen expressed his enthusiasm about Atana’s unique approach, stating, “We seamlessly integrate behavioral theory, organizational psychology, and advanced data science to empower organizations to foster positive, lasting behavior change at scale.”

This integration of multidisciplinary knowledge equips Atana with the tools to help organizations create a lasting impact.
Originally established in 1993, Atana experienced significant growth after being acquired by John Hansen in 2016.
Hansen, a seasoned entrepreneur and respected lecturer at the University of Washington, played a pivotal role in accelerating the production of new learning content for the company.
With over 300 enterprise customers, Atana has garnered substantial interest in its latest offering, Atana Insights.
Throughout the year, 10 select customers have had the opportunity to use and test this innovative product.
The company presently employs 31 individuals and maintains a satellite office in Boise, Idaho, broadening its reach beyond the Seattle area.
The recent funding round brings Atana’s total funding to date to $16 million.
Leading the Series A tranche was John Byrnes of the Byron Group family office in Minneapolis, with two additional family offices also participating.
Notably, members of the Seattle-based Alliance of Angels were among the investors, further demonstrating the local support for Atana’s mission.
Importantly, CEO John Hansen stands as the second-largest investor in the company, underscoring his commitment to its success.
With its refreshed brand, enhanced product lineup, and increased funding, Atana Inc. is poised to continue making significant contributions in the realm of workplace training and behavior change.
