Blackwolf’s latest advert for their Sonic Scrubber product is a masterclass in clever and compelling advertising.
In just 30 seconds, the advert succinctly showcases the key benefits of the product in a highly creative and memorable fashion.
The ad begins by transporting the viewer into a shower scene, where we are introduced to the main character expressing discomfort in how he can’t reach his back when taking a shower.
In the next scene, the man introduces us to the Blackwolf Sonic Scrubber and we then see the man vigorously scrubbing his back with the Sonic Scrubber, demonstrating how the product’s 360 degree oscillating bristles are able to effortlessly clean hard to reach areas that hands alone struggle to clean effectively.
The sense of satisfaction as the man scrubs his back is palpable, leaving the viewer with an ‘I want that’ feeling about the product.

The casting of the actor is superb, exuding a natural charisma and charm that helps to sell the product. His enthusiasm for the scrubber’s cleaning power is contagious, and by the end of the short advert, you find yourself believing that this one product could transform your shower experience.
The combination of the tantalising shower visuals, the actor’s performance and the obvious cleaning results make for an incredibly compelling advert that conjures the feeling of being in the shower while watching.
The advert is also highly effective in its simplicity.
There are no cluttered scenes or chaotic visuals, just a minimalistic focus on one key use case of the product. This less-is-more approach allows the scrubber to take centre stage, with its innovative design and rechargeable feature prominently highlighted.
Blackwolf’s CEO Sam Lewkowict summed it up perfectly by saying “this ad has probably driven $5-7M in sales this year alone”.
