Showmax Rebrands, Introduces New Logo

Posted on

In a move that has sent ripples of excitement throughout the African streaming landscape, Showmax, the continent’s very own streaming giant, has recently undergone a remarkable rebranding.

Showmax, owned by MultiChoice, has not only introduced a striking new logo but has also revamped its subscription packages, solidifying its position as the number one streaming service in Africa, surpassing even the renowned Netflix.

The New Logo

The centerpiece of Showmax’s rebranding is its new logo, which features a stylish and visually captivating “X” as its icon.

The “X” represents the convergence of diverse entertainment options that Showmax offers, bringing together an array of content from across the globe.

The logo’s prominent orange color, a departure from the previous pink and turquoise palette, exudes energy, vibrancy, and enthusiasm, perfectly capturing the spirit of Showmax’s commitment to delivering exciting and captivating content to its viewers.

The wordmark now features a more rounded font, a departure from their previous regular font suggesting signs of the showmax team wanting to make the logo more playful, friendlier and inviting.

Revamped Subscription Packages

To complement its rebranding efforts, Showmax has also updated its subscription packages, catering to the diverse needs of its growing audience. The new monthly subscription fees are as follows:

  1. General Entertainment (All devices): R89
  2. General Entertainment (Mobile): R39
  3. Premier League (Mobile): R69
  4. Bundle (Entertainment + Premier League) Mobile: R99

By introducing more specific options, Showmax aims to provide a personalized streaming experience, tailored to the preferences and viewing habits of its customers.

The General Entertainment package caters to users across all devices, offering a vast library of shows and movies suitable for every member of the family.

The Mobile packages, available at different price points, cater to those who primarily consume content on their smartphones, ensuring seamless and affordable streaming on-the-go.

Furthermore, the inclusion of a Premier League package demonstrates Showmax’s commitment to sports enthusiasts, allowing them to stay up-to-date with their favorite football league.

Surpassing Netflix

MultiChoice’s expertise in the African entertainment industry, coupled with Showmax’s diverse content catalog, user-friendly interface, and competitive pricing, has resonated strongly with audiences across the continent.

Showmax’s commitment to local and international content, combined with its focus on delivering an exceptional streaming experience, has cemented its position as the premier streaming platform in Africa.
