Cannabis Company Columbia Care Rebrands: Changes Name to The Cannabist Company

Posted on

Columbia Care Inc., a prominent player in the cannabis industry, has announced a significant change in its business.

The company will now be known as The Cannabist Company Holdings Inc. and will undergo a comprehensive rebranding process to reflect its commitment to innovation, creativity, and passion within the cannabis sector.

This move reinforces the company’s vision of building a cannabis company that embraces the future and caters to the needs of its teams, customers, partners, and the industry as a whole. As part of the rebranding, the company’s common shares and warrants will be traded under the symbols “CBST” and “CBST.WT,” respectively, on Cboe Canada starting from September 21, 2023.

Jesse Channon, the Chief Commercial Officer at The Cannabist Company, expressed his enthusiasm for the rebrand, stating that it marks a significant moment for the organization and signifies the company’s future direction.

The Cannabist Company was initially established as a retail brand in 2021 and has expanded to encompass 36 locations nationwide. This retail experience was designed to educate, inspire, and cater to the growing cannabis market by providing high-quality products, technology-driven solutions, and a welcoming customer experience. The company plans to convert its entire retail portfolio to the Cannabist brand across the country by 2024.

Nicholas Vita, CEO of The Cannabist Company

Nicholas Vita, CEO of The Cannabist Company, emphasized that this rebranding represents a pivotal milestone in the company’s evolution and highlights its commitment to providing a comprehensive ecosystem of collaborative technologies, products, and services. The goal is to connect consumers with top-tier cannabis products, offer customers exceptional experiences, provide partners with exciting opportunities, and foster strong communities.

Vita further stated that the company’s core values remain centered around delivering high-quality products and extraordinary service to customers and patients. This commitment to the community will continue to be at the heart of The Cannabist Company’s operations. The rebranding effort allows the company to reintroduce itself while combining its trusted heritage, passion for its work, and vision for the future of the company and the industry as a whole.

As The Cannabist Company, the organization aims to build upon its success and capitalize on the rapid growth of the cannabis market. By embracing a new identity that aligns with its aspirations, the company is poised to shape the industry and redefine the cannabis experience for its customers, partners, and communities.
